As the software industry transitions to an on-demand delivery
model, more than 10,000 existing ISVs face steep curves to
become “software as a service” (SaaS) providers. Thousands
more BPOs and green field startups are converging into the
space, and the very definition of a software business is
expanding. All lack the platform and systems to automate the
routine business and IT operations required to run a SaaS
business. FastRoot’s technology federates the common
functionality required to provision, deliver, manage and monetize
SaaS, and we become an integrated part of our customer’s service
offering.
The enterprise is shifting the complexity of running software back
to the software vendor, and auditable standards and best practices
will become a requirement many SaaS vendors can’t match.
FastRoot OMS™ is an automation platform that is right-sized and
suitable for multi-tenant software vendors, filling a void where
companies like Opsware (now acquired by HP) have served only
large enterpriseoperations.
Additionally, certain routine IT and business operations common
to all SaaS vendors (i.e. SLA monitoring, billing, analytics,
customer support, etc) need not be redeveloped into every SaaS
application, when FastRoot can provide SOA-based services as
part of the “platformas a service”. As such, modules are under
continuous development that plug into our service bus to integrate
within customer applications.
Key elements of our growth strategy include:
Deep domain expertise allowed FastRoot to prepare for this
market for the past three years, and there are meaningful
barriers to competitors.
