Kevin Evanich is senior member of the Kirkland & Ellis LLP Corporate Group and has specialized in private equity transactions for over 25 years as one of the founding members of Kirkland's renowned private equity group. He is experienced in transactions ranging from early stage venture capital investment to leveraged buyouts and private equity fund formations. He is responsible for structuring, supervising and closing numerous leveraged buyouts and a variety of buyout, venture capital and other funds. He represents many of Illinois' premier private equity funds and major fund investors.
In June 2006, Mr. Evanich was recognized by legal publisher Chambers & Partners as the leading private equity lawyer in the United States with its award for excellence in private equity. He is the first to be honored in this category at Chambers & Partners' U.S.-based awards event. In every year since 2002, he has been listed as a leading practitioner in Chambers' USA and Global guides to the "Leading Lawyers for Business." He has been endorsed by clients as a "current leading light in the private equity world" who is "at the top of his game." Mr. Evanich has also been named a leading practitioner in The International Who's Who of Private Funds Lawyers by Law Business Research and in numerous other publications.
Mr. Evanich's wife Joan, who has tolerated him for 32 years, is the mother of their three wonderful children, Sarah, 29, Paul, 26 and Peter, 20. Sarah and Paul have married well, to Sean Kelly and Atsuko Horikoshi, respectively, and to her father's eternal delight Sarah recently gave birth to her father's first grandchild Jude Michael Kelly, a thoroughly likeable little fellow.
