Chicago-based Liquidus Corp., founded in 2001, specializes in the mass production and distribution of video for multiple media. It’s the user interface and engine behind the efficient, cost-effective, high-volume production & distribution of CableLabs Compliant Video for VOD classified advertisements on digital cable TV. This platform is Liquidus’s core product in use by cable operators and advertisers, already having produced over 1 million ad videos as of October, 2007. This Platform has created additional product extension opportunities in other media. The first extension, VideoLink, provides advertisers the ability to create Flash videos through the same platform, and distribute them on the Internet via hyperlinks. Another product extension is Liquidus’s long-format Linear Videos & Showcases created through the Liquidus “ShowBuilder” tool. This production tool facilitates the inexpensive creation of long-format 30 minute “movies” (like a Sunday morning real estate show). Collectively, these tools for the production of advertising video for multiple media channels offer the benefit of “faster, cheaper, better” as compared to competitive offerings. Liquidus is the only company offering video creation and distribution across multiple media and product verticals all under one roof. Liquidus’ belief in these products also motivated it to start its own VOD channel called Luxury Living On Demand, which Liquidus is successfully testing in the Chicago market.
